As a small child Sarah developed an interest in baking at an early age, always intrigued and delighted by the sweet, sugary smells emanating from the kitchen. Armed with a toy plastic mixer and bags of enthusiasm she was always eager to lend mum a hand with her baking and took great pride in painstakingly arranging cherries in pretty patterns on trifles. It was these simple tasks that provided the foundations for what as an adult would become her greatest passion.
With an artistic background and a love of all things scrumptious, Sarah has indulged her hobby of baking and created the ‘Sugar Monkey Cake Company’. In doing so she hopes to be able to share with everyone else a little slice of her enthusiasm and love of cake making.
Sarah is a great believer in sourcing the best quality organic and local produce to use in her cakes, as she truly believes a cake can only be as good as its ingredients.
